Gabriel Lecup is a musician and multimedia artist actually based in Barcelona. He was born in France in 1984, and he has lived in Nepal, Vietnam, France, Argentina, Belgium, and Spain.

From 2005 to 2008 he specialized in producing soundtracks and live audiovisuals for a number of theater and dance projects by directors Maria Urtubey, Carlos Acosta, Hernan Moran, Miguel Robles, Enrique Klose Escobar, Daisy Thomson, Stef Meul, Mireia Arnela, and Marc Verdou.

In 2008 he moved to Bruxelles and concentrated on producing his own work and investigating deeper into computer programming and creative digital processes. His personal projects may vary in format and integrate different media, but they all repeat the experiment of substituting individual manifestations of life in order to reveal their common underlying nature.

The intention behind this method is to short-circuit our brain’s cognitive machinery, and reach a strictly sensorial perception of reality. Technology is considered as the global contemporary deity, providing us with new resources to communicate with the divine.

His works have been presented in HS63, Le Chien Perdu, Sign6, Les Mariniers / La Générale du Canal, Radio Campus, IMAL, OKNO, MicroMarché, L’Impasse Temps, La Maison de La Création, Recycl’Art, Bonnefooi, LePlacard.org, Nau Ivanow, Fiesta Sabroso, Visages du Monde Cergy, Centro Cultural Konex, etc.
