Media Facades presents media and electronic art projects in public space. The first edition of the festival was organized in 2010, and it presented over 30 media art projects within a network of 7 European cities.
Media Facades focuses on artistic interventions which open up the spatial and social experience of the city, by an innovative use of the visual, interactive and participatory potentials of media and architecture.
The objective is to present new insights into the urban environment and to encourage a debate about the uses of public / media space.
To this end they also invite not only proposals for art projects, but also other types of collaborations – workshops, demos, live events etc – which share similar interests.
